Rwandese International Joins Zambian Side Buildcon

Rwandese international Faustin Usengimana has joined Zambian Super League side Buildcon FC, the club announced on Friday.

Rwandese international Faustin Usengimana has joined Zambian Super League side Buildcon FC, the club announced on Friday.

The terms of the contract have, however, not been revealed, but sources privy to the deal indicate that the former Rayon Sports player will be earning a cumulative amount of $1 million for the duration of his contract.

Usengimana has found game time hard to come by at Khaitan Sporting Club of Kuwait and will be hoping to quickly settle and establish himself in the Buildcon set up.

Speaking to Ducor Sports from Lusaka on Friday, Usengimana said that he was excited to begin his new life in Zambia, and promised to work hard to fulfill both his personal ambitions and those of his new club.

“I feel very proud of this moment. I take this opportunity from God, and I intend to put every effort towards delivering for my club,” he said.

Usengimana had a short stint in Kuwait having joined the club as a free agent following the expiry of his contract with Rayon Sports last month.

The 24-year-old was a key player in the famous U-17 Amavubi starlets that finished second at the 2011 CAF Africa U-17 Cup of Nations in Kigali and the squad that played the FIFA World U-17 Cup in Mexico the same year.
