Raja Casablanca Terminate Contract Of Midfielder Sami Hien

Raja Casablanca have terminated Burkina Faso star Sami Hien’s contract by mutual consent after just three months with the club.

With Hien now without a team following his mutually agreed exit from the Green Eagles, the former Salitas defensive midfielder is now able to sign for any other club.

The 24-year-old, whose deal was due to expire in 2024, fell out of favor at the Spanish club.

He has made only two appearances, all as a substitute, since mid-August.

“The club can confirm the departure of Sami Hien following the mutual termination of his contract,” a statement on Raja’s official website read.

Hien also commented on his exit a separate interview, saying: “I have really enjoyed my time at Spurs and would like to thank the Club and the fans, but I feel now is the right time for me to move on to a new challenge.”

It is understood that the defensive midfielder is on the radar several clubs, including Marumo Gallants, AS Vita and RS Berkane, but no formal offers were made for him despite reported interest in his services.

Elsewhere, Raja Casablanca  have written to CAF asking the African football mother body to reschedule African Super Cup clash with Al Ahly.

The match is scheduled for December 22, just few days after FIFA Arab Cup where Morocco national is among the participating nations.

Raja want the match rescheduled as they have several players in the Moroccan national team thus they will not be able to get their visas on time to travel to Qatar for CAF Super Cup
