Raja Casablanca have mutually parted ways with Ugandan international Mohammed Shaban after a single season with the club.

Raja Casablanca have mutually parted ways with Ugandan international Mohammed Shaban after a single season with the club.

The 20-year-old forward joined the Moroccan giants in August 2018 on a three-year contract from Ugandan Premier League champions KCCA.

A statement posted on social media by his agent, who represents Ronnie Santos Sports Management, Fred Mwine, confirmed the striker’s departure.

“Ronnie Santos Sports Management, the official representative of Mohamed Shaban, has this afternoon reached an agreement with Raja Casablanca to end our relationship,” read the statement.

The foremost East Africa FIFA player agent added that Shaban chose to leave due to what he named as ‘confidential reasons’.

“Due to some reasons which remain confidential per now, we have agreed to terminate the contract effective today 29th July 2019,” adds the statement.

“We wish to thank Raja Casablanca for giving us a chance to work with you, it’s been a pleasure putting on the green and colours.”

Shaban previously played for Arua-based Onduparaka FC before his move to KCCA where he rose to become the Kasasiro Boys s top scorer of 2017/2018 season with 18 goals.

Before joining Raja, Shaban was linked with a switch to Absa Premier Soccer League side, Orlando Pirates, but, unfortunately, the move did not take place.
