Raja Casablanca Announce New Head Coach

Raja Casablanca have made an official announcement about who will take over at the helm of the team following the departure of Marc Wilmots.

Wilmots parted ways with the Moroccan giants on February 21 after a poor string of results following his appointment in November 2021.

The club has since confirmed that veteran Moroccan coach Rachid Taoussi will take over for a second spell at the Green Eagles.

The 63-year-old is one of the most successful coaches in Morocco, and one of few coaches that have won two African titles in one year.

He led MAS to win three cups in 2011 — the African Confederation Cup, Moroccan Throne Cup and the African Champions League.

His continental achievements came after he led Moroccan Under-20 national team to the 1997 African Youth Championship title.

Taoussi has also coached Morocco senior national team as well as Wydad Casablanca, RS Berkane, ES Setif, CR Belouizdad, and many more North African clubs.
