Raadsan Crowned Somalia Division One Champions as Rajo Earns Promotion

Somalia Division One football league side Raadsan FC have officially been crowned and promoted to the Somalia Premier League next season.

Somalia Division One football league side Raadsan FC have officially been crowned and promoted to the Somalia Premier League next season.

The club received the trophy on Thursday at Banadir Stadium in Mogadishu after the final league match against Ummah FC.

After 18 matches, Raadsan managed a total of 37 points, accumulated from 11 wins and four draws, having only lost three matches.

The team gave away three points in their final match against Ummah FC 3-2 but the results posted by the other top three teams who were contesting for the crown did not affect the positioning on the table.

“I am so excited and very happy for the management and players,” an elated Raadasan coach Jabarti said after the final whistle.

“I have experienced top-flight football before and I know what it means. Most of my players here are yet to but they deserve this because of the consistency and discipline they showed all season.”

At the same time, Rajo also earned promotion to the top flight football after accumulating 33 points with one match to spare.

Sahafiand Waxool, who were also chasing the two automatic promotion places going into the final round of matches, were left to rue their missed opportunities.
