Petro Atletico’s Interest in Jacques Tuyisenge Confirmed

Kenyan Premier League champions Gor Mahia have confirmed that they have received an offer from Angolan giants, Petro Atletico for the services of Rwandan striker Jacques Tuyisenge.

Kenyan Premier League champions Gor Mahia have confirmed that they have received an offer from Angolan giants, Petro Atletico for the services of Rwandan striker Jacques Tuyisenge.

Tuyisenge has been with Gor Mahia for the last three years and his current deal with the 18-time Kenyan Premier League champions is set to expire at the end of the year.

Gor could now cash in before his deal elapses after club chairman Ambrose Rachier revealed that they have received an offer from the Luanda based side.

“It’s true Petro have formally written to us. They are interested in his services. We have not yet made a decision on the same, we will have a meeting to deliberate on the issue,” the long-serving football administrator revealed.

Should he complete a move to Angola, Tuyisenge will become the second player to jump ship from the Kenyan Premier League to the Angolan giants after Allan Wanga who left Tusker for the side in 2008.

Tuyisenge caught the eye of Petro when he scored a goal against them in the CAF Confederation Cup final group match in March, a goal that eliminated the side from the competition.

Tuyisenge isn’t the only key player rumored to be heading out of Gor Mahia after the 2018/19 season. Harambee Stars midfielder Francis Kahata’s contract with the club has expired and is reportedly heading out as well. Captain Harun Shakava is another player rumored to be on the move.
