Petro Atletico Confirm Jacques Tuyisenge Signing

Angolan giants Petro Atletico have officially confirmed their signing of Amavubi star Jacques Tuyisenge from Kenya Premier League champions Gor Mahia.

The Girabola club announced the transfer on their official Twitter page and website.

Petro Atletico said they have signed the 28-year-old player on a two-year contract after the player received a $1 million signing on fees for accepting a move from Nairobi to Luanda.

The Luanda club had a chance to watch the striker in person when the two clubs faced each other in the group stages of the 2018/2019 Caf Africa Confederation Cup.

After losing the first leg 2-1 in Luanda, Tuyisenge scored the crucial penalty which guaranteed Gor Mahia’s passage to the quarter-finals of the tournament.

The player has been previously linked with moves to Simba SC of Tanzania and AS Vita Club of DRC.

Tuyisenge’s move to Angola will be the most expensive transfer involving a Kenyan club, second to the $1.6 million Sweden club IF Djurgardens paid to lure Michael Olunga from Kenyan Academy Liberty professionals four years ago.
