Ugandan Premier League side Vipers SC has confirmed the departure of thirteen players ahead of the new season.

Leading the list of released players is midfielder Brian Nkuubi who has been with the club for the last five seasons since his arrival from Kira Young and David Ochan whose contract still had two years remaining.

Others include left-back Dan Birikwalira, Janjali Joseph, Dickens Okwir, Ibrahim Kiyemba, Duncan Seninde and Farouk Musisi, who were all on loan at various Uganda Premier League clubs.

Tom Masiko, Steven Mukwala and Tito Okello also leave the club after the end of their contracts so is Fred Atuhwera as well as Baden Mujahid.

Vipers have so far acquired the services of Disan Galiwango, Ibrahim Orit, Jamil Kalisa, and David Bagoole.

The Kitende-based outfit is expected to add winger Viane Ssekajugo and former Sofapaka custodian Nicholas Ssebwato to the club’s roster.

The Ugandan champions are streamlining their squad in preparation for the next season’s African Champions League together with domestic competitions.
