Former Sunrise FC striker Alex Orotomal has completed his move to Kenyan Premier League side Bandari FC.

The lanky Nigerian attacker has signed a three-month contract on a free transfer.

Orotomal was available as a free agent after leaving Ethiopian side St George, a team that he had joined after a brief stint with another Kenyan side AFC Leopards.

“I want to confirm that we have acquired the services of Orotomal, whom we expect to sharpen our striking force, which has been wanting since Ochomo got injured a month ago,” Bandari Chief Executive officer Edward Oduor said on Thursday.

The 26-year-old had been training with Bandari for the last few weeks although the club administrators had denied that they had intentions to put them on their roster.

Bandari sit at the second spot in the Kenyan Premier League table with 32 points, just a point behind third-placed Mathare United. Archrivals Sofapaka are at the apex with 33 points.

The KPL transfer widow opened on Monday 11th March and will close on Monday, April 8th and before the end of the period, Bandari are expected to beef up the squad further, especially in midfield, as they look to win their first league title.

The Dockers’ next assignment will be on 20th March against Sony Sugar at Green Stadium in Awendo.
