Cranes face the Stallions on March 24 before playing the Flames five days later as they look to reaching the 2021 AFCON finals in Cameroon, and it has now been confirmed that the coach will announce the players that he will be taking into the two games on Friday.

Communication from FUFA Thursday afternoon stated that the announcement will be made at 10 am as Mubiru  picks the team that he feels can get six much-needed points in the last group matches, and fans across the country will be eager to see his first squad of 2021.

“Uganda Cranes squad for the final two qualifying games for 2021 Africa Cup of National will be announced on Friday, 5thMarch 2021,” reads the statement in part.

“The announcement will be made at 10am at FUFA House, Mengo. The technical team currently in charge of the Uganda Cranes will announce the squad.”

Uganda is second in Group B of the 2021 AFCON Qualifiers having accumulated seven points, one behind leaders Burkina Faso who they face in Kampala before travelling to Lilongwe for their last game against Malawi.
