Mosimane Concerned With His Misfiring Strikers

Al Ahly head coach Pitso Mosimane has admitted that his striker’s shyness in front of goal is becoming a concern after his side dropped points in third straight encounter.

The Cairo giants needed a late penalty from Mohamed Magdy to rescue a point against Ceramica Cleopatra in the Egyptian Premier League on Saturday, a situation that left Mosimane worried.

“We are having difficulties in scoring goals. When you don’t score goals, you have to know the reasons. We have to analyze everything,” Mosimane said, as per the club’s official website.

“It is very difficult to break the barrier when the opponents play with two defensive lines, a line of six players and a line of four players but it is okay, it is the opponent’s tactics and we have to respect that.

“We have to overcome it and we do not have to be emotional about that but it is a great concern.”

Al Ahly will be downing Ismaily on Tuesday 10 May in order to close on leaders Zamalek.
