Morocco have confirmed two friendlies against DR Congo and Senegal as they prepare for the upcoming 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

According to the Moroccan FA official twitter handle, the Atlas Lions will face Senegal on October 9, before they take on DR Congo on October 13.

The Vahid Halilhodzic’s charges will play both matches at Prince Moulay Abdellah Sports Complex in Rabat .

Morocco are billed to take on Central African Republic in November in back-to-back Nations Cup qualifiers in November.

Since defeating Burundi 3-0 in a Nations Cup qualifier in Bunjumbura on November 17, 2019, the Atlas Lions are yet to play a match in the year owing to the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic.

The 2021 Africa Cup of Nations which will be hosted by Cameroon has been moved to 2022 due to delays caused by the pandemic.

CAF is still monitoring the situation closely and working with the relevant authorities with regards to hosting of the matches.

The African football governing body will make pronouncements accordingly in the event of developments that will affect playing a match at the designated venue.
