Morocco Beats Tunisia 1-0 to Win the North African Derby Friendly

Morocco were the victors when the two North African giants faced off in a friendly match at the Stade de Marrakech on Tuesday evening.
Morocco took the lead in the 14th minute thanks to an own goal from Tunisia’s Xanti based playmaker Hamza Younes. They had many chances to increase the lead but misused most of their second half opportunities on goal.

This is Morocco’s second win in the international break after last Friday’s win over Burkina Faso showing that the Atlas Lions are moving a step in the right direction.

Tunisia however continue their disappointing slump losing two in a row. They started their international break with a loss to Africa Cup of Nations champions Cameroon and were hoping to improve in this fixture.

Such performances have caused worry for the Tunisian die-hard fans who are calling for the country’s FA to hire a better Coach before the coming 2018 Russia FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
