Moroccan Club Sack Coach Over Dismal Run

A Moroccan club has parted ways with its gaffer over his poor run of form in the North African country’s premier league.

Kawkab Atletique Club de Marrakech allowed Faouzi Jamal to exit after reaching a consensus over a certain amount of money as compensation.

The 52-year-old erstwhile Morocco international was appointed barely three games to end of the campaign last season and managed to ensure the beleaguered outfit’s escape of demotion, leading to his retention.

In a downward spiral, Jamal failed to inspire The Plants with three points between the Marrakech-based side and bottom-placed Mouloudia and Chabab.

Under Fouazi’s tutelage, Kawbab are stuck at 11th position in thirteen outings- three wins, four draws, and six losses- a return of which prompted the club board to get rid of the manager along with his deputy Mimum Moktar.

Aziz El Amir has been installed as a replacement on a six-month deal, with an option of a permanent contract based on the outcome of the league.

Details about how much Jamal was paid off was undisclosed by both parties.
