Mainz Midfielder Kunde Malong Set For Olympiacos Switch

Super League Greece champions Olympiacos are reportedly closing in on the signing of Cameroon international midfielder Pierre Kunde Malong.

Not only will he bring solidity to the Olympiacos midfield, he will be bringing his swag along with him.

The lanky midfielder’s was reported  on Sunday to have started negotiations after Mainz received offers from the Greek side, fuelling to the rumours of his imminent move to Karaiskakis.

Malong joined Mainz from Athletico Madrid in July 2018 for €7.5 million and has since has by all accounts something of a bust in the Bundesliga.

The central midfielder was barely featured at all this season following a nagging knee injury that is forcing Mainz to offload him.

Off the field, the 25-year-old cleans up well and appears to have a passion for fashion.

His Instagram profile is filled with images of  Malong in fancy hairdos and sleek cars.

Malong started his football career at Atletico Madrid where he graduated from the youth stages playing in the U17 team but found first team opportunities at senior level hard to come by before moving to  FC Granada, where he scored five goals in 38 competitive matches.

He has represented Cameroon at the junior national teams and made his full debut with the Indomitable Lions in May 2018.
