On Saturday, it was reported Fulham submitted an official bid for Traore as they aim to seal a move for the striker who has attracted interest from a host of European clubs.

Lyon want €25 million for their forward as they believe they are in a strong position to get better deals from other clubs interested in his services.

Now it remains to be seen if the London club will come and tempt Lyon once again, but at this point it appears that he won’t be leaving for a lesser fee.

The 24-year-old still has two years remaining at Lyon, a club that he joined from Chelsea in July 2017 for a fee of 10 million euros.

The striker featured in 35 matches for Lyon last term, netting four goals and providing five assists in all competitions.

He mainly convinced in his first season, when he scored 18 goals and assisted a further seven in 43 games in all competitions.

Fulham were promoted to the Premier League after defeating Brentford 2-1 in the Championship play-off in August.
