Kenyan Defender Brian Mandela Among Players Unveiled At TTM

Kenyan international Brian Mandela has joined South Africa Premier Soccer League side Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila (TTM).

The 26-year-old was among 12 players unveiled by the Limpopo-based outfit on Thursday and brings a wealth of experience at the club having turned out for Maritzburg and former PSL champions Santos FC.

The Harambee Stars defender was unveiled alongside Edgar Manaka‚ Thabo Mnyamane‚ Washington Arubi‚ Meshack Maphangule‚ Miguel Timm, Ayanda Nkili, Augustine Mulenga, Justin Shonga, Gustavo Paez and Nicholus Lukhubeni.

Justin Shonga, a Zambian international with 24 caps, is expected to lead the striking department having joined the club from Orlando Pirates.

Shonga had been with the Buccaneers for the past two seasons but was forced out by Pirates supporters for not converting many goal scoring chances.

Meanwhile, Lehlohnolo Nyonane was announced as TTM’s new captain, while Brighton Mhlongo and Washington Arubi were announced as vice-captains of the club.

TTM will play their first Premier Soccer League match against SuperSport United in the MTN8 quarter-finals at Thohoyandou Stadium on Saturday.
