Kansanshi Dynamos Announce Were Signing

Former Zesco United striker Jesse Jackson Were has joined Super League side Kansanshi Dynamos on a two-year deal.

Since leaving Zesco, there have been speculations about his next move with reports linking the forward to a stay in Zambian top-flight and now has been confirmed at Dynamos.

“We are pleased to announce our latest addition to our squad, Jackson Jesse Were. The Kenyan Hitman has joined us on a two-year contract after leaving Zesco United FC,” the club announced on Tuesday.

Were  joined the Zambian champions in 2016 and went on to become the club’s most decorated striker in recent years.

The 32-year-old tall, dark, lanky striker has been menace to defenders in both the domestic league and continental football.

His fine qualities made the Kenyan striker arguably one of the best foreign acquisitions Zesco United has made in the last decade.

Were left Zesco after helping the Zambian side to four league titles,  two Absa Cup championships, and two Charity Shield honours.
