Fouazi Yaya received a pass from the left before feigning a shot and leaving his marker, who attempted a block, sliding on the grass surface. The winger then laid it to his left prior to releasing a blast into the net which turned out to be the game’s only goal.

Six points now separate the two sides with a goal difference of four.

Elsewhere, Olympique Meidea labored past Derreidj 1-0 at home while second-from-bottom Belouizdad secured a rare win by bullying 11th placed Mo Beijaia 4-0.

Defending champions Constantine drew 3-all with Tadjenanet in a six-goal thriller on a day ES Setif also lost to third-placed Saoura with Paradou AC whacking Ain 3-0.
