Is He Back? Kelechi Iheanacho on His First Brace for Leicester City.

Nigerian Kelechi Iheanacho struck twice in each half for Leicester City in their 2-0 win against Fleetwood Town, sending them in the fourth round of the FA Cup. The forward couldn’t hide his happiness on resurrecting his goal-scoring form after a goal-drought had seen him get sidelined even in the first leg of the FA Cup tie against Fleetwood.
Coming back and scoring two goals, I am very happy. We worked together as a team and we played a very good game tonight,”[perfectpullquote align=”full” cite=”” link=”” color=”” class=”” size=””][/perfectpullquote]

Iheanacho said.
The forward’s second goal had initially been ruled out for offside but after consulting VAR, the referee awarded the goal.

“To be fair, I didn’t know whether I was onside or offside. Mahrez told me I was onside. It was a great goal. I didn’t get to celebrate with the fans at first, but the goal counts and it is a good thing because this now happens in football so we love it,” he said.
It will remain to be seen however, if the brace scored some points for the young forward to earn him a starting berth when Leicester take on Watford on Saturday in the premier League.
