Inter Allies Warns Clubs Against Ruling Goal Poacher

Ghana Premier League side Inter Allies have cautioned local suitors to keep their hands off striker Victorien Adebayor.

This is after revelations emerged that close to five Ghana Premier League clubs are chasing after the Niger international’s signature.

In a statement, Allies vice-president Delali Senaye has revealed Adebayor is one of the most dependable strikers in the team and local clubs ‘poachers’ should forget about acquiring him.

“It has come to our notice that some Ghanaian Premier League clubs and their agents are unlawfully inducing our forward Victorien Adebayor, contrary to the FIFA regulations on the Status and Transfer of Players,” reads part of the statement.

“We shall report any further attempt by the said clubs to the Players Status Committee of the Ghana Football Association.

“Currently, Inter Allies and the player’s agent are considering eight offers abroad hence Adebayor is not available for or to any Ghanaian Club. We advise that our forward be left alone to enjoy his football career,” adds the statement.

A number of suitors including Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko are chasing the signature of the striker. Others suitors are Hearts of Oak, Ashanti Gold and Bechem United.

The 23-year-old is currently the top scorer in the league having scored in every league game this season except the nerve-wracking defeat to defeat to Great Olympics at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Adebayor joined Allies two seasons ago after one year stint at Niger top division side Association Sportive des Gendarmerie Nationale Nigérienne (AS GNN) and has been the team’s most dependable scorer.

After playing 11 matches Inter Allies are placed 11^th one the GPL log, seven points below leaders Ashanti Gold.
