Horoya Handed Tough Opponent In Confederation Cup

The Nigerian side finished second in Group D after collecting ten points, while the Guinean giants finished top of Group C with nine points.

While HAC has never won any continental title, the Peoples Elephants have won two consecutive African titles in 2003 and 2004.

Lamine Ndiaye’s troops will first travel to Nigeria for the first leg where they will have to get a good result to avoid a heartbreaking home defeat, in order to advance.

Horoya are the only Guinea side left in the tournament and will be aiming to better the performance.

In the remaining CAF Confederation Cup quarter-final fixtures, Zambia outfit Zanaco will take on Pyramids of Egypt, with Egyptians giants Al Masry landing on RS Berkane of Morocco.

Another Moroccan side Hassania Agadir will face Al Nasr from Libya.

Zanaco will have a tall order against Pyramids who finished on top of Group A and only lost one match in their tournament debut.

The first leg matches will be played on Sunday 1st March 2020 with the second leg encounters set to be played on Sunday 8th March 2020.
