Gor Mahia midfielder Kenneth Muguna has insisted that he knows nothing about a potential move to Democratic Republic of Congo giants, Daring Club Motema Pembe.

Gor Mahia midfielder Kenneth Muguna has insisted that he knows nothing about a potential move to Democratic Republic of Congo giants, Daring Club Motema Pembe.

The Kenyan international has been heavily linked with a move to the Kinshasa-based outfit. He was reported to have handed a transfer request to leave the record KPL champions.

The 23-year-old, formerly of KF Tirana in the Albania top-flight league, was among the K’Ogalo players who recently showed displeasure with the club for unpaid salaries.

Muguna, however, tells newly established African football television channel Safari Soccer that he isn’t thinking about the rumours about his future.

“I am not involved in transfer issues. I have already spoken to Gor Mahia chairman; everything now has to pass through him,”he said.

“I am waiting the for new season to start. Despite the club losing some of players, we expect some good signings to come in.”

Muguna has an 18-month contract remaining at the club and his coach Steven Polack recently urged the management to hold on to their key players who are being targeted by other clubs.

The former Western Stima midfielder joined Gor Mahia in 2017 after winning the previous season’s KPL Player of the Year Award .

He left to join FK Tirana of Albania in 2018 before returning back to the club the same year.

He was named Gor Mahia captain in August 2019 after the exit of Harun Shakava, who joined Zambian Super League giants Nkana FC.
