Ghana’s Team B gaffer Maxwell Konadu insists his charges have a lot of experience in the Wafu Nations Cup.

The Black Stars dispatched off a stubborn Burkina Faso on penalties after a one-all tie in full time. The Stallions raced into an early lead before Ghana launched a comeback to force a stalemate.

Asante Kotoko’s net-minder Eric Antwi Ofori was the standout, saving two spot-kicks to send Ghana through in the semis of the ongoing Wafu Cup.

“We know each other very well because we have played many times but we have a lot of experience in the WAFU Cup of Nations,” he said.

Ghana trounced Gambia in the opening fixture prior to facing off with Burkina Faso.

“We wanted to win in normal time but it wasn’t possible but yet still I have to commend my players for holding on and when we went to penalties we managed to get the job done,” Maxwell tells Cafonline.com
