Maxwell Konadu believes Ghana would be writing history if they go on to steal the show today in the WAFU Nations Cup final.

The English speaking West African nation face hosts Senegal in a must-watch scintillating encounter at the Stade Latdior.

The lead up to the tussle has been fired up with both camps vowing to undo the other. And 46-year-old Konadu thinks his Ghanaian troops can upset The Lions never mind home support.

“Yes we have made history, but that is behind us now (the 2017 edition they won). We just want to go for the cup and make sure we make Ghanaians happy. That is what we want to do. Yes, if we win it, we will make history,” he said in the run-up to the match.

“We have to thank the Ghanaian public for giving us their support. We started this campaign two weeks ago and our run-up to the competition, we lost to Burkina Faso, which wasn’t the best for our image but we did our possible best to rally the boys, to motivate them and lift their spirit high,” he added.
