Ghanaian Midfielder Completes Move To Granada

Liberty Professionals and Ghana midfielder Mubarak Alhassan has completed his move to Spanish side Granada.

Liberty Professionals and Ghana midfielder Mubarak Alhassan has completed his move to Spanish side Granada.

The 18-year-old has been on top form for Dansoman-based outfit since he made the move at the start of the Ghana Premier League season.

He had scored five goals while providing five assists in 13 matches played before the league was suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The attacking midfielder penned a five-year contract on Thursday after the two clubs finally agreed to the deal.

In an interview with Citi Sports, Alhassan was in cloud nine describing the move as the perfect next step in his career.

“This is the best moment in my career to make this move because everyone wants an opportunity like this,” he said.

“At an early age, I have always wanted to play for clubs in Spain because I see myself as an [Andres] Iniesta type of player and I was given that name too so I think it’s the best place for me to develop as at now.”

The former Corners Babies midfielder is now expected to fly out to join his new teammates as soon as the borders are opened.
