Ghanaian defender Edwin Tuffour has signed a new two-year contract with Ethiopian giants St George.

Ghanaian defender Edwin Tuffour has signed a new two-year contract with Ethiopian giants St George.

Tuffor joined the club at the start of the 2018-2019 season and has been an integral pillar in the squad.

According to reports from Ethiopian media, the club officials have confirmed Tuffor’s commitment to the club.

Prior to joining St George, the versatile defender turned out for Liberty Professionals and Asante Kotoko.

It is at Kotoko that his status grew owing to his blossoming partnership at the heart of defense with Roland Amuzu in 2018 which attracted the eyes of Liberty Professionals bosses before flying east for greener pastures.

It should be noted Tuffor had a stint at Liberty for four straight seasons after joining from Kumasi-based Division One side Asokwa Deportivo prior to the start of the 2011/12 season.

Before joining St George, the defender had unsuccessful trials with Lebanese side Nejmeh FC.
