Everton Make Decision For Oumar Niasse

Senegal forward Oumar Niasse will be free to leave English Premier League club, Everton, at the end of the season.

Senegal forward Oumar Niasse will be free to leave English Premier League club, Everton, at the end of the season.

Niasse has spent four seasons at The Toffees having joined the club in January 2016 from Russian club Lokomotiv Moscow in a deal worth £13.5m, but only managed to score 12 goals in 65 league appearances.

The 30-year-old will now have to find a new job elsewhere next season as the club will allow his contract to lapse.

English left-back Luke Garbutt and Curacao defender Cuco Martina will also leave the club when their contract expires at the end of June.

“Everton can confirm Oumar Niasse, Cuco Martina and Luke Garbutt will leave the Club when their current contracts expire at the end of the month,” the club said in a statement.

Niasse had spent a loan spell at Hull in 2017, where he scored scoring five goals, and another at Cardiff in 2019.

When the striker was signed at Toffees by former coach Roberto Martínez, he had torn up the first half of the Russian league season.

The Ouakam-born star became the third-most-expensive signing in Everton’s history, behind Romelu Lukaku and Marouane Fellaini.
