Former West Ham Striker Unveiled At A Club In Djibouti

Former West Ham United striker, Diafra Sakho, has been unveiled at a club in Djibouti as he looks to revive his career.

Following a successful four-year spell West Ham between, Sakho had a stint with Rennes before moving to Swiss League outfit Neuchatel Xamax.

Djibouti Premier League giants AS Arta Solar 7 have announced the 31-year-old is their new signing alongside Cameroonian goalkeeper Carlos Kameni and Burkina Faso attacker Alain Traore.

“Arta Solar 7 is pleased to announce the signing of Diafra Sakoh as striker, Carlos Kameni as goalkeeper and Alain Traoré as offensive midfielder,” Solar 7 confirmed the signing in a statement on the club’s Facebook account.

Sakho and the duo joins former Arsenal and Barcelona star Alexandre Song and former Galatasaray centre-back Dany Nounkeu at the Stade El Hadj Hassan Gouled.

The former Senegalese international Sakhho bagged 24 goals in 71 Hammers appearances across four seasons.

He left for Rennes in 2018, but flopped with the Ligue 1 side and moved on to Turks Bursaspor and Xamax.

Arta/Solar 7 are the reigning Djibouti Premier League champions  and they will face Kenyan Champions Tusker FC in the preliminary round of the Caf Champions League on Sunday.
