Fenerbache Chasing €4M DR Congo Top Scorer Mbokani

The Turkish Super Lig could be DR Congo international Dieumerci Mbokani’s next destination with Fenerbache interested in his capture.

34-year-old Mbokani is one of the hottest properties in the European game after scoring fourteen in twenty-one outings.

He has been single-handedly responsible for Antwerp’s rise to within the championship round as they sit second in the First Division A, ten points behind table-topping Club Brugge who have played fewer games.

There has been a proposal for the goal-getter from a side in Azerbaijan’s Premier League but that died as soon as it surfaced with Dieumerci more particular about a move to the Chinese cash-loaded Super League or a better challenge.

However, it looks Fenerbache could offer him that with the Turkish giants linked with the erstwhile Monaco man.

Talks have not started but reports say discreet inquiries have been made which could then be followed by a formal proposal.

Antwerp are believed to be keen on holding on to their prized possession but that could cost them losing him on a free with his deal elapsing in June unless he’s tied to improved terms.

The attacker arrived at the Belgian outfit August 2018 on a free transfer having been waived by Kyiv of Ukraine.

His current price tag is set at €4M in the transfer market.
