Ex-Vipers Midfielder Returns Home

Uganda international Milton Karisa has rejoined his former employers Vipers Sports Club from Moroccan side Mouloudia Club of Oujda.

Uganda international Milton Karisa has rejoined his former employers Vipers Sports Club from Moroccan side Mouloudia Club of Oujda.

Karisa, a former Bidco Uganda Limited FC midfielder had joined Oujda on a one year contract in September 2018 but has returned home as club’s hierarchy has affirmed.

“Welcome back, Karisa!!! We are delighted to welcome Milton Karisa back to the club,” the StarTimes Premier League side posted on their social media pages.

“Karisa brings a huge amount of experience to the club at this now crucial part of the season.”

While at Oujda, Karisa was limited to only 22 appearances due to stiff competition amongst foreigners at the club, however, he managed to register 4 goals to his name at the club.

Karisa is expected to boost the Venoms’ experience in striking during the second leg of the season as they seek to grab the league title.

“It’s great to be back home. This is a great club. It’s a real family and I am absolutely delighted to be back @VipersSC. I loved my time here, there are plenty of familiar faces still around. It’s a fantastic place to be andS it always has been,” Karisa posted on his Tweeter account.

The midfielder had left Kitende-based outfit to join the North African club in September 2018 after 20 months in a Venoms jersey.

He was a key figure in the 2017/2018 season for Vipers as he scored 15 goals that season, enabling the side win the league under Portuguese tactician Miguel da Costa.

Vipers are currently placed on top of the log, five points ahead of their rivals KCCA. They are scheduled to meet the Kakasiro Boys in their next league clash scheduled for Tuesday 18 February at the St. Marys Stadium.
