Esperance Snap Up Enyimba Winger Anayo Iwuala

Tunisia Ligue Professionnelle 1 side Esperance de Tunis have snapped winger Anayo Iwuala from Nigeria Professional Football League  side Enyimba International on a three-year-deal.

The 22-year-old, who played a huge role in the Peoples Elephants’ qualification to the group stages of 2020/2021 CAF Confederation Cup, will remain at the Stade Olympique de Rades until 2024.

According to reliable sources, Esperance forked $500,000 for the sources of the attacker who was previously linked with a move to Belgian giants KAS Eupen.

Previously Enyimba valued Iwuala around €1m, but it is understood Eupen were not ready to negotiate with the management of the club.

It was also reported that Spanish side Elche and Greek giants Olympiacos had also made inquiry about the former Warri Wolves winger.

Enyimba also wanted to tie Iwuala by tabling an improved new three-year deal following enquiries for his services from the three European outfit.

The winger had been one of the consistent performers for Enyimba in the Nigeria Professional Football League finding the back of the net 15 times in recent concluded season.

Iwuala started his career at Kada City before switching to Delta Force until Enyimba spotted him at the start of 2019 season.
