Enock Mwepu Scores Sublime Goal as Brighton Play Out to 2-2 Draw with Liverpool

Zambia international Enock Mwepu scored a delightful goal as Brighton & Hove Albion FC played out a thrilling 2-2 draw with Liverpool in the Premier League on Saturday.

Mwepu sensational solo striker pegged back Brighton after a Jordason effort had put Liverpool ahead after Mohamed Salah had found him inside with another great assist.

Liverpool extended their lead on the 24th when Sadio Mane connected a cross from Ox and nodded it past Sanchez at close range.

Anfield had only sixteen minutes to celebrate and savor the individual genius of Mane before the Liverpool fans were silenced.

Mwepu reduced the deficit on the 41st minute with an audacious curling shot from the corner of the area.

Brighton then drew level in the 65th minute through Leandro Trossard, who prodded beyond Alisson Becker after collecting Adam Lallana’s pass, ensuring they took a share of the points.

Liverpool almost got into the lead shortly afterwards but Mohamed Salah’s fierce shot scraped the outside of the right post moments later.

Brighton also had a chance to grab when Solly March  was left completely unmarked and blazed well over the crossbar from just inside the area.

Despite best efforts of both side, the stalemate would persist until the final whistle as Liverpool were held to a costly draw with Brighton.

Mwepu ,who joined Seagulls at the start of the season, took his tally to four goals in as many appearances in all competitions following another virtuoso display.
