Egypt’s Hussein El-Sayed has been found guilty of misconduct incurring a four-match ban in the process.

Egypt’s Hussein El-Sayed has been found guilty of misconduct incurring a four-match ban in the process.

The 27-year-old threw a tantrum in disapproval of the third goal his club Effitaq conceded in their eventual 3-2 defeat to Al Sassr in the Saudi Premier League.

Irked by the circumstances of the goal, the left-back threw a water bottle onto the pitch before making for the referee and talking on top of his lungs, leading to his sending off.

The Saudi league committee found the Egyptian guilty of gross misconduct, slapping a four-game ban on him along with a 40,000 Riyal fine.

Hussein has the right to contest the verdict which, according to reports in Saudi, is a strong possibility.
