Egypt Confirmed Host of 2018 Men’s Africa Club Volleyball Championship

Having hosted the 35th edition of the Men’s Africa Club Volleyball Championship in 2016, Egypt has been confirmed by the African Volleyball Confederation (CAVB) as host of the 2018 edition of the competition.

The annual premier continental club competition will be held from March 27 to April 5 in Ahly Club Halls.

The last edition was hosted by record host nation Tunisia for the 12th time. Ahly Club of Egypt are the current defending champions as they claimed their record 12th championship title in March 2017 after beating Etoile du Sahel 3-1 in the final encounter.

The competition has for the past nine years being hosted by North African countries with Tunisia dominating. It was last hosted in West Africa in 2007 by Niger, in South Africa 2006 and East Africa (Kenya) 1995.
