The head coach of top Togolese side Dynamic Togolais (Dyto), has stepped down after his team lost 2-0 to AC Semassi in a Togolese Championnat National League match on Sunday.

Olufade Adekambi, a former Togo international, told reporters on Monday that he has decided to leave the team.

He did not give reasons as to why he resigned, noting that the management of the club will issue a statement.

On Saturday Adekambi predicted his team would beat Semassi and garner maximum points to get their campaign back on track after last Wednesday 2-0 defeat to Togo-Port in the Round 19 of the league campaign.

According to reports, the management accepted Adekambi’s resignation and will hold a meeting to discuss the way forward.

It is expected that assistant coach Bonfoh Arimiyaou will take charge of Dyto’s remaining game in the Togolese Championnat National League.

The six-time Togolese champions are currently sitting fourth on the table, trailing current log leaders ASKO by 11 points in the title race.
