Dylan Kerr Linked With Vacant Wazito Post

As Wazito FC continue to search for a new coach, reports have now emerged that the Kenyan Premier League moneybags are courting former Black Leopards coach Dylan Kerr.

As Wazito FC continue to search for a new coach, reports have now emerged that the Kenyan Premier League moneybags are courting former Black Leopards coach Dylan Kerr.

According to media reports in Kenya, Wazito are keen on landing the former Arcadia Shepherds winger who spent a coaching spell with Gor Mahia between 2017 and 2018.

Wazito are looking for Fred Ambani’s successor who was fired on Monday after a 4-2 thrashing at the hands of Kakamega Homeboyz.

Following that defeat to Homeboyz, the Ricardo Badoer owned outfit stated that assistant coach Hamisi Mohammed will be in charge of the team until a new head coach is confirmed.

Kerr impressed by taking Gor Mahia to the group stages of the CAF Confederation Cup.

He won four trophies with Gor Mahia in total over his two-year spell in Kenya and will be eager to keep up that success wherever his next move takes him.

Wazito has only won one game in their first six games despite Badoer investing heavily in the team since taking over last season when they were still in the National Super League.

In his last job in South Africa, Kerr resigned from Absa Premiership club, Leopards, after leading the club to a relegation escape.

Names such as Baroka FC coach ex-Tusker coach Jacob Mulee, former Shabana coach Gilbert Selebwa and Ghanaian gaffer Charles Kwablan Akonnor have all been linked with the vacant coaching job at the KPL outfit.
