Turkish giants Galatasary have bolstered their ranks with the acquisition of two African players- Mbaye Diagne and Christian Luyindama.

Europe’s top scorer and Senegal international Mbaye Diagne completed his move on transfer deadline day on a four-and-half-year deal having passed a medical.

The striker, on 20 goals in 17 games, arrived from fellow Turkish Super Lig outfit Kasimpasa who sold him off for 15m euros.

Mabye’s transfer brings to an end speculations over his future, amid initial reports that Chelsea, Monaco including Marseille were all interested in his signature.

He touches down tasked with spurring The Lions to a record 22nd league title success as he’s expected to partner with Nigeria’s Henry Onyekuru, who is the club’s top scorer with nine goals in seventeen games, fifteen of those from the starting lineup.

Also switching to the Istanbul side is Christian Luyindama of DR Congo. The 25-year-old was acquired on loan from Belgian First Division A’s Standard Liege.

Capable of playing as a forward and a defensive midfielder but preferably starting as center-back, Christian was bought to solidify the back-four in a title chase proving intriguing already.
