Confirmed: Modou Lo vs Ama Balde Billed for July
Promoter Luc Nicolai has confirmed Modou Lo versus Ama Balde will take place July this year.
Promoter Luc Nicolai has confirmed Modou Lo versus Ama Balde’s combat will take place in July this year.
Luc, who’s fighting charges of corruption, this Saturday spoke from his detention cell to allay fears the bout wouldn’t hold.
This duel is the sole combat signed so far this season in the Senegalese popular wrestling arena amid fears of a severe match drought hitting the sport.
The pronouncement comes after Modou Lo’s manager Biram Gningue paid a visit to Nicolai to seek the latest regarding the bout.
“I met Luc and we talked a lot. The purpose of this visit was to discuss with him the fight of my wrestler against Ama Baldé. He reassured me that the fight will take place in July 2020,” Biram tells the waiting press today.
A face to face between the wrestlers is even expected in the coming days to be staged by the staff of Nicolai.
Modou is the current king of the arena after snatching the crown off Eumeu Sene’s grip who got knocked down in that clash, making his meeting with Ama an automatic title decider.
