Tunisian Premier League side Athletique Bizertin face paying for damages done by its fans.

Tunisian Premier League side Athletique Bizertin faces paying for damages done by its fans.

Supporters of the Stade 15 Octobre outfit vented spleen over their team’s loss, vandalising properties in a residential area hours after a league match.

The capital-based team bit the dust 3-1 to fourth-placed Chebba on Saturday in what was their third defeat of the new campaign.

Apparently dissatisfied with the game’s outcome, fans took out their anger on a residential area near the stadium, damaging property and demanding club president Abdelssalem Saidin resign from his post forthwith.

The club is expected to pay for the damages.

Bizertin’s next match is a difficult game against an in-form Esperance Tunis who are also defending champions of Africa and the Tunisian domestic championship.
