The FAs in Cameroon and Guinea Conakry have denied fielding over-aged players in the ongoing Africa U-17s tournament.

Guinea were accused of age-cheating by Senegal who ended up bowing out of the championship.

In strongly-worded statements, the Football Associations of both nations dispatched rebuttals, slamming the accusations as unfounded.

The North Africans, some of whose players are being doubted, accused Cameroon of fraud while Senegal raised qualms with Guinea’s Aboubacar Conte.

“It is up to the Senegalese Football Federation to provide proof of its accusations,” the Guinea football governing entity said.

The Indomitable Lions –Cameroon – and Guinea have gone on to reach the semis with the Junior Syli Nationales facing Nigeria while Angola squares Cameroon this Wednesday.
