Burkina Faso Midfielder Joins Ethiopian side Bahir Dar

Burkina Faso midfielder Abdul Karim Nikiema Zoko has joined Ethiopian Premier League side Bahir Dar City, Ducor Sports can confirm.

The tenacious midfielder has been unattached since August 2021 following his exit from Kenyan Premier League club Gor Mahia after just six-months.

Karim’s last game for the Kenyan giants was a FKF PL game between K’Ogalo and Nzoia Sugar where the record champions lost 2-0.

He was reported to have terminated his two-year contract due to delay of salaries and bonuses at the record Kenyan Premier League champions.

Karim moved to Kenyan in February 2021 after his contract was mutually terminated Armenian side Gandzasar Kapan FC.

He joined Gandzasar Kapan from Ghanaian side Fetteh Feyenoord after an impressive outing in the Ghana Premier League.

The 28-year-old will be having a second spell in Ethiopia having played for the EPL giants St George where he won the championship in 2017.

Karim also played for Société Omnisport de l’Armée (SOA) of Ivory Coast after being developed by ASFA Yennenga academy and featured for Burkina Faso at youth level.
