Black Leopards Part Ways With Coach

South Africa Premier Soccer League sides Black Leopards have parted ways with head coach Dylan Kerr with immediate effect, the club has announced.

South Africa Premier Soccer League side Black Leopards have parted ways with head coach Dylan Kerr with immediate effect, the club has announced.

The development comes a day after Leopards suffered a 3-0 defeat to Chippa United in the Dstv sponsored league.

Since taking over the side for the second time in mid-November, the Lidoda Duvha has won only two of nine matches played, drawing three and losing four.

“Black Leopards FC and their head coach Dylan Kerr have reached an agreement to part ways amicably,” read the statement.

“Assistant coaches Morgan Shivambu and Lehlohonolo Seema, together with goalkeeper coach Sam Banda, will be responsible for the team in the meantime.”

Black Leopards appointed Kerr as head coach in November last year following his sacking as Baroka FC coach where he was found guilty of bringing the club into disrepute.

Kerr came to South Africa after leading Kenyan Premier League giants Gor Mahia to two consecutive Kenyan Premier League titles between 2017 and 2018.

His first stint at Black Leopards was between December 2018 and June 2019.

He also served stints as Sammy Troughton’s assistant at Mpumalanga Black Aces‚ Thanda Royal Zulu and Nathi Lions before coaching in Vietnam and Tanzania.
