Mali coach Mohamed Magassouba has recalled Brighton midfielder Yves Bissouma to the national team for his maiden outing against Ghana and Iran in Turkey.

The Eagles, who are yet to play a game since November, will face the two teams in international friendlies, set to be played in Antalya in October.

Bissouma missed 2019 Africa Cup of Nations due to a shoulder injury and was forced to miss the last two Nations Cup qualifiers for Mali.

Meanwhile, England-based midfielders Adama Diara Traore, Abdoulaye Doucouré and Reims’ star El Bilal Toure will be hoping to make their Eagles debuts against either team.

Regulars Moussa Djenepo, Moussa Doumbia and Adama Malouda Traore are also part of the 31-man team for the encounter billed to strengthen the country for the back-to-back 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Namibia.

Mali will face Ghana on October 9 in Turkey before facing Iran three days later in Ankara.

Mali are second in their qualifying group for the continental tournament, which will now be played in 2022 in Cameroon, with four points from two matches.
