Biashara United Part Ways With Coach Patrick Odhiambo

Struggling Biashara United Mara have announced that they have parted ways with their head coach Patrick Odhiambo.

Biashara, who represented Tanzania in this season’s African Confederation Cup, are second bottom of the NBC Premier League with nine points from 11 matches.

Last weekend they were held to a 1-1 draw at Ilulu, having only won one match so far.

“”Yes, it is [true],” club chairman Suleiman Mataso confirms to Ducor Sports regarding to the Kenyan coach exit.

The Mara-based outfit appointed Odhiambo in May 2021 after the gaffer parted ways with Kenyan Premier League side, Kakamega Homeboyz.

He signed a two-year deal with Biashara whose main goal is to finish in the top four of the 2021/2022 Tanzania Premier League.

He had filled the void left by former Kenyan international and Sony Sugar coach Francis Baraza, who led Biashara for the better part of the season, before joining another Tanzania side Kagera Sugar.

Odhiambo has coached Sony Sugar before joining Gor Mahia as the assistant coach under Steven Polack.

He then left at the beginning of the season for Homeboyz in the same capacity.
