Benin National Team Closing In On New Kits Sponsor

The Benin Football Federation (FBF) is finalizing talks with a German-based sports clothing partner with the hopes of a sponsorship deal.

The Benin Football Federation (FBF) is finalizing talks with a German-based sports clothing partner with the hopes of a sponsorship deal.

The Squirrels have never had a technical sponsor for the last ten years and are known to use any brand of kits available at their disposal.

Under the current FBF regime, the team has consistently used its own brand with the Ministry of Sports and the federation logos, having failed to find a credible shirt sponsor.

Sources within the organization intimated to Ducor Sports the new partner will be Adidas as they are coming in with a huge CFA Francs 1.6 Billion proposal, 460 million more than what Nike wants to offer the federation.

Squirrels are expected to don the new kits in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations set to be played in Egypt from June 21 to 19 July.

The coach Michel Dussuyer’s charges, ranked 104th globally by FIFA, have been on the rise and have gone five matches without a defeat.

Their last outing was a 2-1 win over Togo in an AFCON qualifier in March.
