The erstwhile Borussia Dortmund goal-getter finished the campaign equal on goal returns with Liverpool duo Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane.

“I did not want them to play and only focus on me. I am a team player.”

“The team have had a great season but last month it has not been the best in the league,” he told BBC Sport.

Elsewhere, at the Anfield grounds, Sadio Mane also pulled off a one-man show to down league shockers Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The trio Africans have a day’s more work to do with Arsenal facing Chelsea in the Euorpa League final and Salah and Mane coming up against Tottenham Hotspur in the Champions League final.
