The Anfield outfit escaped as 2-1 winners in front of  53, 323 fans with goals from their two African forwards.

Salah’s goal came as an equaliser after Callum Wilson had spurred Bournemouth ahead from a Jefferson Lerma’s assist with just nine minutes into the game.

At the Selhurl Park, Ghana’s on-form Jordan Ayew leapt to the rescue for Crystal Palace with his 28th-minute lone goal sealing the points for gaffer Hogdson over Watford.

Senegal’s Ismalia Sarr was on show for The Hornets from start to finish.
