Guinea Coach Praises Mady Camara’s Class And Character

Guinea national team coach Didier Six has opened up on Olympiacos star Mady Camara as he has branded the former Ajaccio defensive midfielder as intelligent.

Six hailed Mady’s ability to adapt to any form the coach uses and the fact that he gives his all when on the pitch. He went to say the youngster was bound for stardom.

“Mady is ready to play at the highest level. When you work very hard all your life, you can only benefit from it. Mady has worked very hard to get there, and he continues to progress at Olympiacos,” said the gaffer said as translated from French.

“Besides being a good footballer, he has a very good mentality. He grew up in Matama and it is not easy to survive there. He learned life lessons and what I like is that he doesn’t behave like a star. He is a modest person who fights for his dreams.’

Mady has put in a number of impressive displays this season for the Greek side and he has stood out on the European stage too.

The Guinean international was part of the Olympiacos team that shocked Arsenal in the Europa League back in February 2020.

“Mady has advanced his career little by little and I think he has reached a point where he can join a big team in Europe. I am not surprised that Inter Milam and Arsenal are interested in his signature,” Six added.

Mady has made 39 appearances across all competitions for Olympiacos and scored two goals.

The youngster remains under contract until June 2023 but could be allowed to leave if the price is right.

Mady joined Olympiacos from Ajaccio in 2018 after two years with the French club.

He made his senior debut for Guinea in a 1-0 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualification win over the Central African Republic on 9 September 2018.
