BREAKING: Congolese Striker Hospitalised After Swallowing His Tongue

Congolese striker Jacques Mendia today left his teammates in panic after he accidentally swallowed his tongue.

The 20-year-old was training with his Tunisian Premier League side Club Athletique Bizertin when he accidentally felled and swallowed his tongue.

Medics, positioned on the fringes, then raced to administer first aid on him before he was rushed to hospital onboard an ambulance.

After being attended to by doctors the last two hours ago at an emergency section, Mendia is now said to be responding to treatment.

Bizertin were yet to issue a statement about the forward’s real state of health at press time.
